SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazilian state-run oil firm Petrobras mentioned on Thursday its board of administrators has elected Jose Mauro Coelho because the agency’s chief government for a one-year time period.
Coelho, who will change retired military basic Joaquim Silva e Luna within the job, is about to take workplace afterward Thursday.
The transfer comes proper after the corporate voted Coelho onto its board, paving the best way for the federal government technocrat to take the helm of the agency, as beneath Petrobras’ statutes the chief government have to be on the board to get elected.
Coelho, who beforehand served because the secretary of oil, fuel and biofuels at Brazil’s Mines and Vitality Ministry, was tapped for the function earlier this month after vitality marketing consultant Adriano Pires backed out of the federal government’s nomination.
